Sooraj Pancholi was born in a family of actors. He attended Pali Hill School in Mumbai. Since he was not so interested in studies, therefore, enrolled in martial arts and dancing school and learned both the art form. He started off his career by assisting directors like Kabir Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali for their films Ek Tha Tiger and Guzaarish respectively.

 

He came to limelight even before the release of his debut film as he was taken into custody for 23 days and was interrogated in Jiah Khan’s suicide case. It was his father’s friend Salman Khan who launched him in his produced film Hero in 2015. He was cast alongside debutant Athiya Shetty in this film. The film failed at the box office but his looks and a perfectly shaped body were noticed. He made headlines after he was seen romancing actress Jacqueline Fernandez in the hit single ‘GF’. He was highly acclaimed for showcasing his dancing skills in this single. This song was choreographed by veteran choreographer Remo D’Souza.
