Mehmet Oz is a famous cardiothoracic surgeon. His complete name is Mehmet Cengiz Oz. He is also an author, a very famous pseudoscience promoter, television celebrity and also a professor at Columbia University. Oz has completed his schooling at Tower Hill School in Wilmington, Delaware. Post this, he completed his undergraduate in biology from Harvard University. Then he achieved an MBA and MD degrees from Penn's Wharton School and University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine respectively. He has been the class president during his college days.

 

Oz is now a very successful professor at Columbia University in the Department of Surgery 2001 onwards. He has done huge research in surgeries. His researchers include minimally invasive cardiac surgery, heart replacement surgery and also health care policy.
